WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) -

The Charleston County Coroner's Office says it will take several weeks to determine the exact cause of death for an elderly woman found dead in her burning West Ashley home.

The coroner identified the victim as 81-year-old Anne Bello. The sheriff's office said the fire is believed to be accidental and foul play is not suspected.

An autopsy was conducted on Thursday and a cause of death is pending.

On Wednesday, Charleston County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the burning home at 2358 Brevard Road around 11:15 a.m. after St. Andrews Fire Department crews reported a death.

Firefighters found Bello inside the home while they were extinguishing the flames, Brady said.
