CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

The Charleston Police Department has charged two people in connection with a burglary at an apartment in downtown.

Investigators charged 23-year-old Taylor Weathers and 21-year-old Timotheaous Washington for a burglary that happened at an apartment on Reid Street on Tuesday.

One of the victims told police he came home and found that someone had gone through the apartment and had stolen video game systems and games. The victim said whoever came into the home must have had a key since the front door was unlocked.

According to the victim, he and his two other roommates had been sharing a key for the past week since a second key went missing.

When investigators checked police cameras in the area, authorities saw a woman walk onto the property followed by a man on a bicycle.

The man was then seen leaving several minutes later carrying a blue bag with a strap.
