
The South Carolina Stingrays (13-12-0-2) extended their winning streak to six games defeating the Greenville Road Warriors (13-10-1-1) 2-1 at the Bi-Lo Center Sunday afternoon.
Stingrays forward Hunter Bishop kicked off the scoring 11 seconds into the game tapping a backdoor pass from forward Tyler McNeely past the right pad of Road Warriors goaltender Nathan Lieuwen (L, 27 saves on 29 shots). Road Warriors forward Andrew Yogan tied the game with two minutes left in the opening period beating Stingrays netminder Ryan Zapolski (W, 28 saves on 29 shots) between the legs.
Forward Kevin Baker scored his first goal as a Stingray and the game-winning marker at 12:04 of the second period. Defenseman Scooter Vaughan and McNeely earned assists.
The Stingrays return to the North Charleston Coliseum on Tuesday, December 11 against the Road Warriors at 7:05 p.m.
