North Charleston police are trying to figure out who shot at a van on Dorchester Road.

Around 1:30 p.m. on Monday, police responded to Alvie Street in reference to someone shooting at a vehicle. When officers arrived, they found a 2002 Chrysler Town and Country van with it its rear window shattered and its front end damaged from a crash.

The 21-year-old victim said as he and a group of his friends were in his van leaving the parking lot of the Mo Mart on Dorchester Road someone shot at his vehicle several times.

The victim drove his vehicle away from the scene and crashed his van into a Crown Victoria. A police report states that the victim then drove the van to Alvie Street.

According to authorities, another subject was seen by an anonymous caller leaving the victim's van. Police say that subject allegedly was concealing a firearm in his pants before leaving.
