Downtown man accused of selling drugs near a school

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston Police Department arrested a 22-year-old man accused of selling drugs near a school.

Investigators arrested Christopher John Howard and charged him with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within close proximity of a school and possession of cocaine.

Howard was arrested on Friday after a search warrant was executed at his apartment on Calhoun Street where police say they confiscated 84.4 grams of marijuana, .2 grams of cocaine and $970 in cash.

Howard was locked up at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
