CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Police say a 25-year-old man who was attempting to clean his truck's windshield as he was driving down the street ran over a woman's foot in downtown Thursday morning.
Charleston police say the incident happened just before 7 a.m. outside Roper Hospital in the area of Courtenay and Charleston Center drives.
A traffic collision report states that the driver of the truck ran over the woman's foot as he was attempting to clean his windshield. According to the report, the driver did not see the woman stepping into the crosswalk.
Francis said the victim was taken to the Medical University of South Carolina for treatment. Their condition is unknown at this point.
