The Dorchester County coroner has identified the victim and suspect from the murder-suicide incident in The Gables Mobile Home Park of North Charleston.
A 26-year-old man who authorities say shot and killed a 34-year-old woman before taking his own life Tuesday morning was released from jail last month for allegedly assaulting the woman earlier this year.

CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - The Horry County Animal Care Center wants to send all of the animals in the shelter "Home for the Holidays" this year.
As part of this special event, the Animal Care Center will feature special rates for animal adoptions. From Saturday, December 15th through Friday, December 21st, cats can be adopted for $20 and dogs for $40.
On the last day of the event, December 21st, the care center will extend closing hours from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in an effort to get as many pets adopted as possible. The center will be closed until December 26th following the last day of the event.
The Horry County Animal Shelter is located at 1923 Industrial Park Road, Conway, SC 29526. For more information you can contact the Horry County Animal Care Center at 843-915-5172.
