DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

Dorchester County Sheriff's deputies are searching for a suspect after two men were shot during an altercation in a Reevesville home.

According to an incident report, deputies were called to a residence on Wire Road in Reevesville around 11:20 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18. When deputies arrived, they found multiple witnesses and a man who had been shot twice.

The victim was shot in his left foot and torso. Deputies say he was responsive.

A witness told police he was in a bedroom when he heard noises in the living room and then heard a gunshot.

Deputies say they were originally told the witness left his room and saw the suspect, but he later said he could only hear an argument followed by additional gunshots. The witness went to another bedroom in the house to get a gun, but the suspect already left the house. He also told deputies he sells marijuana out of the residence.

The witness first told deputies he did not see how the suspect left, but then said he saw the suspect leave in a black truck.

A second witness told deputies he was in the living room with the victim when a black male wearing a gray stocking cap, dark shirt, and jeans entered the home carrying a handgun.

The witness says the suspect told the victim, "you ain't suppose to be here," and the two started fighting. The witness tried to escape after hearing the first gunshot and said he did not see anything else.

According to the report, a third witness left the house after he was shot in the buttocks. Deputies found the witness at his home, who told officials the suspect entered the home demanding money. The second victim said he was ordered by the suspect to get on the floor, and was shot in the buttocks.

The victim then escaped from the residence and went to his home, according to the report.

Deputies say the victims and witnesses involved could not identify the shooter.

Both victims were taken to MUSC for their injuries.
