Pinewood Prep alum Ryan Steed has been signed by the New Orleans Saints to their practice squad the team confirmed on Wednesday. 

"Glad to be playing again coming off my injury" Steed told Live 5 in a text message. 

Steed, who was a 3-time All SoCon defensive back at Furman, has been out of work since the preseason when the Jets released him after he suffered a fractured pelvis. New York has signed him the night of the NFL draft after he failed to be selected in the 7 rounds.
