The schedule for the New Year's Eve celebration MoonPie Over Mobile is filled with fun activities for the entire family. Events include:

  • MoonPie Scavenger Hunt - Hunt for the MoonPie!
  • Resolution Wall
  • New Year's Eve Parade
  • Three live stages with music by: The Commodores, Jon Miller Band featuring Tanya Madison, Hotwire, Perfect Image Show & Band, Elmo & the Bluesmen, Grayson Capps, and Wet Willie Band
  • A New Year's Eve Night to Remember - A fabulous New Year's Eve ball featuring a great menu, cash bar, and the Mobile Big Band Society. Proceeds will benefit McKemie Place a homeless shelter for women.
  • Light show downtown
  • Countdown starts as the giant MoonPie descends from atop the RSA BankTrust Building at 11:59 p.m.
  • Laser and fireworks show over downtown Mobile.

    Pete Ambrose chose to hear the bad news first.Late Monday, the farmer and owner of Ambrose Farms on Wadmalaw Island got wind of a $1092 citation issued by The City of Charleston, for advertising signs he posted on city property.The signs read, U-Pick Strawberries and list a phone number for Ambrose Farms.
