GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) -

Berkeley County Sheriff's deputies raced to a home on Jean Well Drive in Goose Creek around 3 a.m. Saturday in response to a shooting.

Inside the residence deputies found D'Andrae White, 27, of North Charleston. White was rushed to MUSC where he died from his wounds around 4:15 a.m., according to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury.

Salisbury says the coroner's office will conduct an autopsy later Saturday and expects to release more information then.

No arrest has been made at this time, but the sheriff's office is investigating the shooting as a homicide. At this point, deputies are not releasing any other details about what happened in the home or what led to the shooting.
