Surveillance pictures released of downtown liquor store burglary

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Investigators have released surveillance pictures of a burglary at a downtown liquor store where a gun and money were taken.

On the morning of Dec. 26, officers responded to Burris Liquor Store on 415 Meeting St. in reference to a burglary.

The victim said when he arrived to open the store he found a window broken.

Video surveillance footage shows a male subject breaking the window around 1:30 a.m.

The video then shows the subject entering the store at 3 a.m. and stealing a .38 caliber Smith and Wesson gun and money from several of the business' cash registers.

Officers also noticed that the security system communication lines outside of the store had been cut.
