ANDREWS, SC (WCSC) -

The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help finding a teen wanted for stabbing her cousin with a knife in Andrews.

Sheriff's office spokesperson Carrie Cuthbertson said they are looking for 18-year-old Laswana Gazmble, of Winyah Street in Georgetown.

At approximately 5:25 p.m. Thursday, Georgetown County Sheriff's Deputies responded to 138 Mahogany Avenue after a stabbing was reported.

Gamble was involved in a verbal argument with the victim which escalated to the suspect pulling a knife out of her purse and attacking the victim which resulted in multiple wounds, Cuthbertson said.

The victim was transported to the Georgetown Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Sheriff's deputies searched for Gamble, who had fled, but were unable to locate her.

If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of Gamble or any information regarding this incident, please contact the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office at 843-546-5101.
