GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) - The City of Georgetown has chosen a new city administrator.
There were four candidates competing for the position before Christopher A. Carter was selected for the job.
Carter served as Town Administrator for two years in Williston, SC. Previously, Carter served as City Manager for North Wilkesboro, NC for six years and City Manager for Hendersonville, NC for fourteen years.
Carter is a North Carolina native and attended the University of North Carolina-Greensboro where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He completed his work for the Master of Public Administration degree at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina.
Carter expects to begin work with the City of Georgetown on Feb. 7.
