GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) - South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating after they say a Berkeley County deputy rear-ended another on St. James Avenue Tuesday in Goose Creek, injuring another motorist and a passenger.
According to troopers, a man was stopped in traffic in his Ford pickup on St. James Avenue at Fairfax Boulevard with a Berkeley County Sheriff's Office deputy sitting behind him when a second deputy failed to stop.
Troopers said the deputy rear-ended the other deputy, who then rear-ended the man in the pickup in front of them.
All three drivers were taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and a passenger in the pickup was treated for minor injuries, troopers said.
The incident, which happened about 5:30 p.m., is still under investigation.
