JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - A judge set bond at $300,000 over the weekend for the man accused of kidnapping a woman and holding her against her will for the second time in two years on James Island.
Christopher Glenn Mishowe, 34, has again been charged with kidnapping and criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature.
Charleston Police Department spokesman Charles Francis says police received a call at 1:30 p.m. Friday in regards to a man holding his girlfriend against her will on Meander Row on James Island.
Francis says SWAT and hostage negotiators were called out to the scene, and both parties who were involved came out of the town house on their own free will.
The woman involved in the situation was transported to a nearby hospital by EMS. Her condition is unknown at this time.
This is not the first time the two individuals have been involved in a possible hostage situation.
Two years ago, police arrested Mishowe after responding to a hostage situation at the same address. Investigators say Mishowe assaulted the woman and tied her up after the two got into an argument.
Authorities say the victim was able to escape after Mishowe fell asleep. Mishowe was later arrested and charged with kidnapping and criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature.
