Big turnout for MLK parade in Charleston

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Happiness filled the air as people lined the streets to watch the annual MLK day parade on Monday.

Charleston County Superintendent Dr. Nancy McGinley was this year's parade marshall.

More than 100 floats and cars participated in the festivities.

Civic groups and organizations chanted "Happy King Day!" and waived as they moved down the parade route which ended in Marion Square on Calhoun Street.
