NC WEATHER: Hot & humid Labor Day weekend

RALEIGH, N.C. - The last unofficial weekend of summer will very summer-like.  Heat and humidity will be around with highs around 90.  Rain chances will remain low.

With high pressure to our east, a light southerly flow will set up bringing warmer temperatures into central North Carolina.  Today will have some clouds mixing in with partly sunny skies.  It will be hot and humid with highs around 90. 

After today's heat, by late this afternoon into the evening, a stray thundershower could pop up.  Otherwise it will be partly cloudy tonight and muggy with overnight lows around 70.

Sunday will be partly sunny and continued hot and humid with highs in the lower 90s.  Once again, there will be nothing more than a stray late day thundershower.  Labor Day will have some clouds and sun with an isolated shower or storm possible in the afternoon and evening.  Highs on Monday will continue hot around 92. 

Hot weather will continue as we head back to work and school on Tuesday; highs will be in the lower 90s again with partly sunny skies.

Wednesday will continue partly sunny, but there could be a couple of showers and storms around in the afternoon and evening.  Highs will be hot at 93.  Thursday could see a couple more showers and storms possible with partly sunny skies.  Highs on Thursday will be around 90.                              

By Friday, high pressure will try to build in, so it should be partly sunny with highs in the upper 80s.
