Former South Carolina State standout Dominique Ellis has signed a free-agent deal to join the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL) next season.
Ellis entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2012 and was released prior to the regular season. The 5-11, 195-pound defensive back was a two-time All-MEAC selection at South Carolina State where he made 65 tackles and three interceptions in 2011. Ellis transferred to South Carolina State after appearing in 13 games at North Carolina State in his 2008 freshman campaign.
