3 injured after car riddled with bullets in Goose Creek

GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) - Authorities say three people traveling in a car were injured after they were shot at in Goose Creek early Tuesday morning.

The Goose Creek Police Department says four people in a gray 2013 Nissan Maxima were shot at near the intersection of Redbank Road and Howe Hall Road after leaving Club Pluto around 2:30 a.m.

According to an incident report, police counted at least 18 bullet holes on the car. Police say three of the people in the car were injured by bullets or flying debris.

The passenger who was not injured told police he heard multiple gunshots and saw his friends were injured. He then told his friends to drive straight to the hospital.

A police report states that one of the victims had a serious chest injury and required surgery. Her medical status is unknown at this time.

A sheriff's office incident report states that investigators do not believe that they are receiving the full cooperation of the victims.

Authorities are continuing the investigation with more information expected to be released.
