Goose Creek RB Rashard Alston became the latest member of the Gators football team to commit to play college football on Sunday when he agreed to play at Newberry he told Live in a message.
Alston didn't become a full time starter until his senior season, but he took advantage when he got the opportunity. In his first start of the year, Alston rushed for over 180 yards and 4 touchdowns in Goose Creek's win over Ashley Ridge.
He'd go on to rush for 786 yards and 9 touchdowns on the season helping lead the Gators to a 13-0 record on the field.
Alston becomes the 5th member of this Goose Creek team to be heading to the next level. He joins Tramel Terry (Georgia), Gerald Turner (South Carolina), Mike Myers (East Carolina) and Jalen Stevens (UConn).
