BAMBERG COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has arrested a 38-year-old Bamberg man who is accused of inappropriately touching a 13-year-old girl.
Authorities arrested Andrew Williams on Friday and charged him with third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
According to investigators, on Jan. 25, the victim was signed into school by Williams who a school official knew and reported that Williams signed the register with a fraudulent name.
The school then contacted the victim's guardians and the Denmark Police Department in Bamberg County.
The victim told investigators that she called and texted Williams that morning and agreed to meet him at the flea market in Denmark.
According to the victim, Williams picked her up from the flea market and took the victim to his home where he touched her inappropriately and committed sexual acts on her.
Williams was locked up at the Bamberg County Detention Center.
