CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office says two suspects wanted for a strong-armed robbery at a Ladson Dollar General were arrested Wednesday night, thanks to Live 5 News.

Captain Rick Ollic with the sheriff's office credited us for the successful apprehension of 20-year-old Jordan Marshall Gee and 24-year-old Justen Michael Gee.  Ollic said they received a tip the Gees were staying at a hotel on Savannah Highway in West Ashley shortly after we ran their photos on television.

The two brothers, from Summerville, were taken into custody a short time later.

Investigators said the suspects came into the Dollar General on Highway 78 in Ladson just after 9 p.m. on Jan. 28 and demanded cash.

When the clerk opened the register, the suspect grabbed the money and took off.

Deputies said there was no weapon involved.

The Gees have been taken to jail.
