A suspect is in custody after a fire was intentionally set at a Summerville home on Monday morning, authorities say.

According to Summerville Fire Department Battalion Chief Anthony Mire, a duplex on Bryan Street was set on fire around 4:30 a.m.

A suspect in the fire has been arrested by Summerville Police Department officers on non-related charges, Mire said.

"Multiple occupants" were inside when the fire was set, according to Mire.
