Second suspect charged in Sept. 2012 Holly Hill murder

HOLLY HILL, SC (WCSC) -

Berkeley County deputies have arrested a second suspect in the September 2012 murder of a Holly Hill man.

Jordan Akeem McDaniel, 24, has been arrested and charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

According to Orangeburg Co. Sheriff Leroy Ravenell, McDaniel and Kenneth Campbell, Jr. were attempted to rob Richard Davis at his Holly Hill home on Surfside Drive. Davis was later found dead in his front yard.

McDaniel is being held on charges from an investigation by the St. Stephen Police Department and the Berkeley Co. Sheriff's Office. His charges include armed robbery, 3 counts of kidnapping, second degree burglary, 3 counts of assault and battery, resisting arrest, forgery, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
