South Carolina senior left-handed pitcher Tyler Webb is one of 75 players to be named to the 2013 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Stopper of the Year Award Watch List. The honor is given to the top relief pitcher in NCAA Division I baseball.
Last year, Webb made 39 appearances, second highest in a single-season in school history and went 6-1 with a 1.56 ERA with three saves, hurled 57.2 innings and walked 18 batters while striking out 58, opponents hit just .211 against him. From 2010 to 2012, in the postseason, he has made 15 appearances with 21.1 innings pitched and just one earned run allowed, an impeccable 0.42 ERA. In three seasons he has not allowed a run in Omaha at the College World Series.
