PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC (WCSC) -

The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office has arrested two suspects who they say were involved in a murder at Lumpy's Bar & Grill early Saturday morning on Pawleys Island.

Deputies arrested 41-year-old Ronnie Gene Ackley Jr. of Pawleys Island and 37-year-old Chris Brian Campbell. Campbell was taken into custody Saturday in Lexington, South Carolina after police surrounded his home.

Deputies were called out to Lumpy's Bar & Grill around 3 a.m. in reference to a fight in progress. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found the victim, 37-year-old Thomas Edward Unrue, unresponsive in the parking lot.

According to deputies, CPR was performed on the victim until EMS arrived. Deputies say Unrue was taken to the Georgetown Memorial Hospital where he later died.

Witnesses told investigators that Unrue was asked to leave the bar on more than one occasion, which led to an argument just outside the front door. Investigators were told that the argument led to a fight out in the parking lot area, where two men attacked the victim until he was unconscious.
