WALTERBORO, SC (WCSC) -

The Colleton County Sheriff's Office has arrested a 20-year-old man accused of shooting two people at a nightclub outside Walterboro.

Investigators charged Raymond Peyton Powell with two counts of attempted murder. Deputies also arrested 26-year-old Brittany Chaday McNeil.

At 4:30 p.m. on Monday, deputies and SLED agents responded to a home on Red Comet Road on information regarding the location of Powell. Authorities say it was determined that Powell was at that location and was taken into custody.

An incident report states McNeil was also found at the home and was charged for harboring a fugitive.

Powell's arrest stems from an incident on Jan. 30 at the Chase Lounge, located at the corner of Proctor and Rivers streets, where two people were injured in a shooting.
