Investigators seek identity of grocery store robber caught on video

CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

The Charleston County Sheriff's Office is looking to identify a suspect caught on surveillance video robbing a grocery store in Ravenel.

Deputies say the robbery happened at the Food Lion on 6323 Savannah Hwy. on Jan. 1.

The suspect is described as a white male, 20 to 28 years old, 6'1", 160 pounds and wearing all black and a black stocking type mask.

Authorities say the suspect is seen wearing blue jeans, a black shirt and a black hat before the robbery took place.

Anyone with information on the identity or the whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call the sheriff's office at (843) 202-1700 or Crime Stoppers at (843) 554-1111.
