NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -
A family of seven is without a home after firefighters were called out to a house fire in the 4700 block of Foxwoods Drive early Sunday morning.
The North Charleston Fire Department and Ashley River Fire Department both arrived on the scene just before 11 a.m.
Fire officials say smoke and flames were showing from the single family home. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze.
A family member tells Live 5 News that two families shared the home and that police say they believe the fire may have started from a light bulb socket.
No one was injured in the fire and the American Red Cross is assisting the family.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
