Crews remove car from water following accident

RAW: Car removed from water in Daniel Island

DANIEL ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Crews worked for over an hour Tuesday night to pull a car out of the water off of Daniel Island.

Charles Francis, a spokesperson for the Charleston Police Department, said the car went into the water near Exit 24 on I-526 Westbound following an accident around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday.   He said the dive team was called out to hook up the tow truck's cable to the car.

Officials said two people were involved in the accident and one person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

No one was in the car that was pulled out of the water.
