Coroner: Victim identified in deadly club shooting

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Coroner's office has released the identity of the man killed outside of a nightclub on Dorchester Road.

The coroner's office says Miquel Snipe, 22, of North Charleston was shot and later died from his injuries.

North Charleston police spokesman Spencer Pryor said the suspect who fired shots outside Charlie-O's nightclub was described as a black male just under 6' tall wearing blue jeans, a black shirt, and a red hat. Pryor said the suspect had dreadlocks.

According to Pryor, the shooting outside the club located in the 4300 block of Dorchester Road stemmed from an earlier altercation involving a group of people at a different location.

Pryor said the two victims were leaving the club and walking to their Pontiac Grand Prix, parked in the CK Supply parking lot, when the suspect fired shots from inside a black GMC Yukon.

Investigators say the other victim declined medical treatment for a gunshot wound to his right arm.

At least six bullet holes were left in the building behind the car. An incident report states officers found five shell casings on Dorchester Road.

This is not the first time Charlie O's has been connected to an act of violence. Earlier this month, a man reported being shot at on Interstate 526 just after leaving the club and heading to IHOP.
