Deputies: Suspect refunds victim's appliance; pockets $826

ORANGEBURG, SC (WCSC) -

Orangeburg County sheriff deputies are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect who refunded a woman's appliance and pocketed the cash for herself.

Deputies say the incident occurred at Lowe's in Orangeburg on January 5. After a Smoaks woman purchased a stove and refrigerator, the suspect later went to a register and canceled the order for the stove.

According to a release, the store refunded the suspect $826.84 in cash.

The victim was informed the stove was refunded when Lowe's employees delivered the refrigerator to her home on January 11.
