Deputies: Man seriously injured in Wednesday night stabbing

BEAUFORT COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Beaufort County sheriff's deputies have identified two persons of interests following a Wednesday night stabbing that left one man seriously injured.

According to a release, deputies responded to the area of Joe Frazier Rd. and Godwin Rd. just after 10 p.m. for a reported stabbing. When deputies arrived, they found a 47-year-old Beaufort man who was stabbed several times in his upper body.

The victim told deputies he was walking home from a friend's house when he was jumped by two men who repeatedly punched and stabbed him with a knife.

Deputies say one of the suspects was identified as an acquaintance with which the victim had an ongoing dispute.

Investigators have identified two persons of interest, but no arrests have been made.
