NEW YORK (NYCTV/CNN) - An untraditional food truck in New York is turning heads after it became the first vender to be powered completely by natural gas.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg and energy mogul T. Boone Pickens unveiled the alternative fuel truck Thursday, which is used by pizza restaurant Neapolitan Express.

The truck uses compressed natural gas for both transportation and its kitchen.

Bloomberg said truck will help keep the city's air cleaner because it produces less greenhouse gas emissions than trucks that run on gasoline and diesel.
