The Bishop England girls overcame an emotional Kingstree team playing just 5 days after the death of their Head Coach to earn a spot in the AA State Title game on Saturday with a 55-41 victory.
Kingstree Head Coach Sonya Burgess was killed Monday in a hit and run accident, but the team played on and won Tuesday night over Lake City.
The Bishops were led by Michele Boykin who had 21 points while Mary Harriett Moore added 13.
Bishop England, who improved to 23-3 on the season, will try to win their 2nd straight state championship on Saturday in Columbia when they face Keenan.

The Panthers win their 3rd straight SCISA AAA state championship and 4th in 5 seasons with a victory over the Highlanders.
3 Pinewood players reached double figures led by Raygon Hendrix's 15 points. Kaitlyn Dambaugh and Maria Corella added 12 and 11 points respectively.
The Panthers finish the season at 27-4
