NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Investigators have arrested two men following a car chase in North Charleston.
The North Charleston Police Department charged 25-year-old Dante M. Hubbart with failure to stop for blue lights and siren, simple possession of marijuana and resisting arrest.
Police also charged 23-year-old Quintavious D. Davis with simple possession of marijuana and littering.
Shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, officers patrolling in the Pepperhill neighborhood saw a car disregard a traffic signal at Brandywine Drive and Ashley Phosphate Road.
A police report states an officer attempted a traffic stop, at which time Hubbart failed to stop and continued down Cross County Road. Authorities say the passenger of the vehicle was seen throwing narcotics and a drug scale out of the window.
Authorities say at one point, the suspect's car turned into the Amberwood subdivision, where the driver bailed from the car and was caught after a short foot chase. The passenger stayed in the vehicle and was arrested.
