Boeing is building a new operations center in North Charleston for a transport plane called the "Dreamlifter."
The Dreamlifter can be seen in the air around Charleston as it transports parts for the 787 "Dreamliner" to the North Charleston assembly plant near the airport.
The Dreamlifter is responsible for flying supplies to Charleston and Everett, Washington, from all around the world.
The new operations center is one of several new projects underway at the site. Boeing spokesperson Candy Eslinger said the company is also expanding a fabrication and assembly line, and a paint facility at the site.
