Teen accused of neighborhood burglaries surrenders to police

WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - A 14-year-old boy suspected of six burglaries in a West Ashley neighborhood has surrendered to police.

The Charleston Police Department says the teen, accompanied with his parents, turned himself over to investigators on Monday.

Authorities say the burglaries happened on Windmill Creek Road and Amersee Court in the Village Green neighborhood between Nov. 30, 2012 and Feb. 27. 2013.

The Charleston Police Department says the teenager has since been released to his parents.

Authorities say all of the stolen items were recovered. Police are continuing the investigation.
