CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A 33-year-old Mt. Pleasant man is behind bars after police say he stuck a gun in the mouth of his child's mother after she requested he pay child support.
Charleston police have arrested Termaine R. Rivers and charged him with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature.
According to an incident report, police were called to the victim's apartment on South Street around 10:45 a.m. on March 5 after she was confronted by Rivers.
The victim told police Rivers entered residence after her cousin opened the door, made his way to her room and began shouting at her for making him pay child support for their 3-year-old son.
The report states Rivers pushed the victim onto her bed, and put a revolver to her forehead. He then said he would not give her any money and threatened to kill her if she moved.
Police say Rivers then moved the gun to the victim's cheek, and then put the barrel of the revolver in her mouth.
Both the victim and her cousin said Rivers then ran from the apartment.
