MONTREAL, March 7, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - AMERICANA 2013, the International
Environmental Technology Trade Show and Conference organized by Réseau
Environnement, will welcome Belgium as the Country of Honour from March
19 to 21 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal.
In Belgium, environmental technology is under the jurisdiction of the
country's three regional governments. Accordingly, the regions of
Brussels-Capital, Flanders and Wallonia will proudly showcase Belgium's
environmental expertise as part of a major delegation of companies and
experts. Belgium is a regular participant in AMERICANA and this year
marks its seventh participation in the event.
The Belgian Pavilion will be very visible at the entrance of the Viger
Hall of the Palais des congrès and house some thirty or so companies,
research centres, industrial operators and competitiveness poles in the
environment and sustainable development fields. The Belgian delegation,
made up of 70 people, will also include institutional representatives,
namely from the Ministries of the Environment, Nature and Energy.
Furthermore, throughout the day of Wednesday, March 20, Belgian
scientists and experts will facilitate conferences dealing with two
themes: current biodiversity issues and soil and dredging know-how.
The International Environmental Technology Trade Show and Conference
AMERICANA, now in its tenth edition, will welcome 10,000 participants,
350 exhibitors, 650 business meetings and 200 speakers from some fifty
countries throughout the world. This makes it one of the most important
multi-sector gatherings in North America.
AMERICANA 2013 is made possible thanks to the support of the governments
of Canada and Quebec as well as the financial participation of business
partners including SNC-Lavalin and Golder Associés.
