Budget cuts scupper Air Force band's N. Charleston performance

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

National budget cuts have prompted the cancellation of the United States Air Force Heritage Brass Quintet's upcoming performance at the Sterett Hall Auditorium.

The quintet's organizers told the City of North Charleston Cultural Arts Department they received word Wednesday that all travel funds had been suspended.

The band's representatives expressed apologies to the public.

The concert was set to be held on Mar. 17.
