CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

The Coast Guard is looking for information on a man seen on a surveillance camera at the Charleston City Marina in connection to a boat that was found in pieces in a river in Florida.

Authorities released a picture of a man Coast Guard investigators believe to be an American boat captain named Larry who was possibly aboard the vessel On the Weigh which was found in pieces about 22 miles east of the entrance of the St. Johns River in Florida on Feb. 24, 2013.

The Coast Guard had recovered the body of 49-year-old Guillermo Gonzalez Losada and have identified two other Venezuelan men believed to have been aboard the ship.

An official report states that crews responded to St. Johns River after detecting an emergency beacon. Emergency personnel found Losada's body, but the other two Venezuelan man and the American captain remain missing.

Family and friends of the Venezuelan men reported the owner of the vessel had recently purchased it in South Carolina and hired an American boat captain, whose first name they say is Larry, to help transport the boat.

Anyone with any information about the American boat captain is urged to contact Coast Guard investigators at 904-564-7511.

Investigators believe the ship was traveling the coast to Aruba with several port calls planned along the way.
