BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Berkeley County Coroner's Office has identified the motorist who died early Saturday morning after a single-vehicle crash in Berkeley County as 34-year-old Keith Richardson of Ridgeville.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 2:18 a.m., when the driver of a 99 Mazda was traveling north on Nash Road, off Highway 176 several miles north of Ridgeville.
Troopers said the Mazda ran off the roadway and crashed into a tree, killing Richardson, who was not wearing a seatbelt.
Salisbury says Richardson was pronounced dead at the scene. His death has been ruled an accident caused by blunt force body trauma.
