CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Charleston police say they arrested the assistant manager of a Domino's Pizza after a manager discovered he embezzled over $1,000 from the restaurant.

Keith Gebbia, Jr., 32, has been arrested and charged with breach of trust.

According to an incident report, a Domino's Pizza area manager met with police on January 14 after discovering Gebbia had stole a total of $1,107 from the Domino's located at 320 East Bay Street. Gebbia is an assistant manager at that location.

Police say Gebbia was taking money from the pizza joint between May 15, 2012 and December 14, 2012.

The area manager told police the money count from delivery drivers at the end of a shift would come back negative when Gebbia was working, forcing the store to make up the deficit.

Gebbia is being held at the Charleston County Detention Center.
