School district to pay legal fees for employees being investigated

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Berkeley County School District voted to pay for the legal fees of the employees being investigated after allegations of ethics violations.

The board approved a motion Tuesday night to pay for lawyers.

The alleged violations happened during the bond referendum in November. Complaints came up about district employees working on the campaign.

Voters passed the referendum, approving property tax increases giving money to schools.
