Liberty's Danny Grauer delivered with a pinch hit three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh to provide all of the Flames' offense in a 3-1 win over Charleston Southern on Sunday afternoon.
The win sends Liberty to a weekend sweep of the Buccaneers and to 14-6 overall and 3-0 in Big South play. CSU falls to 8-13 and 0-3 in league play.
Grauer lifted his first home run of the year out to left off of Bucs' reliever Austin Weekley to score first baseman Alex Close and Trey Wimmer on the Flames' big blow. Wimmer had a leadoff double and Close drew a one-put walk to set the stage for Grauer.
Liberty starter Trey Lambert (WP, 4-0) held the Bucs to three hits and struck out six in a complete-game effort.
CSU's Tory Schroff (LP, 3-1) lost for the first time this season. He scattered four hits and struck out four in 6.2 innings of work.
Liberty out hit the Bucs, 6-3, and the two combined to leave only eight on base.
