Car and house hit in N. Charleston shooting

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Police are looking for the suspects responsible for shooting at people in a car and a house in North Charleston Monday afternoon.

The North Charleston Police Department responded to the 5400 block of Torgerson Avenue shortly after 3 p.m. for a report of shots fired.

According to an incident report, a number of witnesses observed a male suspect wearing a white t-shirt chasing down another male. The suspect was shooting at him with a black handgun.

Police say a vehicle containing three passengers was hit by a stray bullet in the front left quarter panel. Additionally, another bullet entered through the bedroom window of a nearby home and struck the headboard of a bed that a woman was sitting on.

Investigators say no one was injured during the shooting.

The report states 11 .40 caliber casings were recovered from the scene.

Authorities are continuing the investigation.
