BEAUFORT COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Authorities in Beaufort County say they are searching for a suspect who shot at a man's car several times after finding him with the suspect's ex-girlfriend.
Deputies say they were called to Taylor's Mobile Home Park on Monday around 11 p.m. in reference to shots fired.
The victim told deputies her ex-boyfriend had been calling her throughout the day to ask where she was, what she was doing and who she was with. After a number of calls, she says she stopped answering.
According to a release, the suspect used a stolen key to enter the home of his ex-girlfriend, where her, her mother, her cousin, a male friend, and her three kids were residing at the time.
When the suspect entered the home, deputies say the victim, along with her mom, cousin and male friend fled the house to call 911. The three children, who were sleeping at the time, were left behind.
The victim says she heard three gunshots as she was running down the street.
The release states investigators later found the victim's male friend's vehicle in Bluffton and discovered the suspect had shot the car several times.
No one at the house was injured during the incident, deputies say.
