CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Participants in this year's Cooper River Bridge Run will have the opportunity to choose four locations for bus shuttles.
Bus shuttles will be provided in downtown Charleston, North Charleston, Daniel Island and Mount Pleasant.
Organizers say they will have nearly 200 buses at their disposal for the event. The buses will start running at 5:30 in the morning from all locations.
"It's going to be much bigger, much better and much easier," says Assistant Race Director Joanna Jackson. "We're just trying to make it easier for people and to get things flowing a little bit better."
The start of last year's run was delayed for nearly an hour. Organizers at the time said the delay was caused by the untimely transport of runners to the start line.
Below is a list of times and locations for this year's bus shuttles:
Organizers say return buses will leave from downtown Charleston from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to return participants to their parking areas. Buses will be marked according to the four different parking areas.
